About Skjervøy

Skjervøy is a remote island town above the Arctic Circle—small, rugged, and surrounded by deep fjords rich in marine life.

From mid october to January, the waters come alive. Herring fill the fjords. Orcas follow the feast. Humpbacks arrive in numbers.

Wild Arctic Base in Skjervøy

Skjervøy Experience is part of Skua Nature Group, a team of naturalists, photographers, and expedition leaders dedicated to immersive wildlife experiences.

We design small-group nature and photography tours across the Arctic: from Skjervøy to the Lofoten Islands, Svalbard, Vardø, and the Varanger Peninsula.

Every trip is shaped by deep field knowledge, respect for the environment, and a passion for storytelling through nature.

Our guides and captains live and work in the North year-round. Each experience follows the rhythm of the sea—and the wildlife that calls it home.
